Albany Community, For those of you I have not met, my name is John Gallagher and am honored to continuing serving as the Nancy Smith Elementary Principal. My wife and I have two children and live within the Albany community. we believe it takes everyone from students, to teachers, to parents, and community members working collaboratively to build student success. I graduated from Texas Tech University and began my teaching career as an 8th grade U.S. History teacher with Lubbock ISD. I then continued my pursuit of higher education by earning a masters in Educational Leadership from Lubbock Christian University. I have a passion for education and a dedication towards the success of all students. I am eager to work with all students, teachers, and parents in order to foster student growth and success at Nancy Smith Elementary. I truly believe this school has the potential to be the best in the state. Please let me know how I can support your student(s) throughout the year.
